Indrokilo Waterfall, A Hidden Gem In West Ungaran Lerep

Lerep Tourism Village has cultural attractions, local wisdom, and natural spot named Curug Indrokilo. Maybe some people who live in Semarang and its surroundings aren't familiar with these tourist attractions.
It is because this waterfall recently opened last few years, even though it has been discovered by residents for a long time. Renovation is done by making the tracks safer and more comfortable for visitors.
Facilities such as toilets, stalls, and parking areas are also provided by the local community to attract more visitors.
The location of this waterfall is higher than the Lerep Tourism Village therefore visitors have to ride a private vehicle that fits the road. Arriving at the parking area, lies a wide view of green and hill. If you are super lucky, it will be covered by clouds so it feels like you are on a cloud.
To reach Curug Indrokilo, visitors can drive their vehicle to Kandri Tourism Village. There will be a signboard that leads to Curug Indrokilo and you just need to follow it. If you avoid the bother of asking the same questions to locals, you can use the Google Maps application.
After parking the vehicle, visitors must pass through several residents' houses and walkways that have been cast to arrive at the entrance counter. Only need to pay as you wish to support the development and maintenance of tourist attractions.
From the entrance counter, you still have to continue by going downhill and climbing stairs for 15 minutes. Birds chirping, breeze, and cold air can be felt along the way.
Not only the view that is attractive for visitors. Sometimes when they meet local people who are cultivating their gardens, they don't hesitate to offer fruits for free.
Unlike other waterfalls in Ungaran Regency, the Indrokilo waterfall has a small water discharge. But don't get it wrong, the amazing view can only be seen when you get to the waterfall. Sunlight penetrates between the trees, the surrounding environment is still lush and the sound of gurgling water is very soothing.
It becomes Curug Indrokilo's strength. According to local people's beliefs, those who wash their faces and hands will look younger. Some say that a mate will be easy to find after a visit from there.
On weekends, it is commonly dominated by young people who come to Curug Indrokilo. Apart from the myths and beliefs there, it is fine to visit when the holidays arrive.
Don't forget to buy food and souvenirs sold by the local community to support their economy. The best time to visit Curug Indrokilo is summer to avoid slippery and muddy roads during the vacation. (Nico)
