Lontong tuyuhan is usually served chicken, tempe, and fried onions sprinkle as a topping on top and the taste it a combination of spicy and savory.

Some sources said the name Tuyuhan itself is taken from the name a village, Tuyuhan Village which is in the Pancur sub-district. However, you can also taste this dish at some other locations in Rembang, such as the alun-alun.
