Religious Tourism In Sheikh Maulana Maghribi Tomb

Blado Batang District offers a complete package for visitors. Not only enjoy the various natural tourism such as Pagilaran tea plantation and Genting Waterfall, in Blado District, the visitors, especially Moslems, can visit the tomb of Auliya in Wonobodro Village which is believed to the place and a tomb of Sheikh Maulana Maghribi.

This cemetery can be reached around 50 minutes' driving from Batang Square. On your way here,  you will pass a steep climb because this complex is located upon the hill. Even so, the road to this cemetery is still easy to access.

A beautiful natural atmosphere welcomes the pilgrims once they arrived. To get to the cemetery, pilgrims have to pass the stairs. Even so, the stairs are not too exhausting, and still accessible to the elderly.

Before entering the burial complex, the visitors should do purify first.

There are to mosques there for male and female visitors. The interesting one is in the men's place has a spring originally from Wonobodro. So that the visitors not only take ablution but also bring the water to be prayed for. This spring in Wonobodro here is also believed to be a blessing for the pilgrims.

Not only the water from that pool, usually the local people and the children there also sell the water for IDR 2.000 until IDR 3.000 for a bottle of the water.

After passing the stairs, the pilgrims will see the clean tomb complex. Although this tomb complex is simple, the place is quite well organized. The trees also make the surrounding atmosphere so calm and peaceful.

Not only the tomb of Sheikh Maulana Maghribi, but there is also the tomb of Ki Ageng Pekalongan and Ki Ageng Wonobodro in the complex. Besides, there is also Auliya Jawa's tomb there.

Every year at Auliya Wonobodro burial complex is held a haul at the 13th day of Muharram. No wonder that the Wonobordo's tomb is so crowded because many people from Batang and outside Java come there. Not only on the 13th day of Muharram, actually at the beginning of the month of Muharram, but the pilgrims also start visiting this place.

After the pilgrimage, don't forget to buy the local merchants. The most popular one is Cassava Chrips that is sold raw or fried with only around IDR 5.000 until IDR 10.000 per pack. Not only the casava crisp, but potato crips is also available for another option. For those who like sweets, you can buy preserved food as a souvenir. Or you can try a sweet peanut brittle.
