Karanganyar regency is a regency with Karanganyar as the capital city and 77.378,6374 ha extent. It is located on the west slope of Lawu mountain with Sragen regency on its north, Boyolali regency and Surakarta city on the west, Wonogiri and Sukoharjo regency on the south, Magetan and Ngawi regency on its east.
