Black Canyon Petungkriyono: Water Playing Paradise
Kedung Sipingit Petungkriyono has become a popular tourist attraction in Pekalongan. This attraction, which is popularly called the Black Canyon, gives an increasingly scary impression of the Welo Petungkriyono River. Even now many people are attracted by the clarity of this river. No wonder Black Canyon became an attraction for water playing.
The clear water combined with the thick black stone along the river, make Kedung Sipingit even more beautiful. This is what makes Black Canyon used as a face to introduce the Kedung Sipingit more.
"Why is it called Kedung Sipingit because there used to be a singit impression. In Indonesian, it is haunted place. However, the youths are trying to introduce Kedung Sipingit with nowadays branding. And Alhamdulillah, it gains good response," said one of the managers of Pokdarwis Putra Wiguna Black Canyon Rojiin who was accompanied by Sinur Hadi.
At first, nobody expected that the river that seemed haunted would go viral. Even so, thanks to the creativity of local youth, Kedung Sipingit began to be known. After being introduced to social media, the beauty of Kedung Sipingit is increasingly being hunted by water-playing lovers in Pekalongan and its surroundings.
Besides becoming a water-playing paradise for its clear water and beautiful river, Black Canyon also offers a beautiful panorama. Not only is the serene feel of the Petungkriyono forest along the river, but Black Canyon also has rice fields views. No wonder many people enact Black Canyon as a camping site to enjoy the beautiful panorama of Petungkriyono's nature.
By spending Rp. 5,000, visitors can enjoy the natural beauty of the Black Canyon. If you want to play with water, the manager has also rented a life jacket. For those who are adventurous, they provide body rafting facilities.
The managers are fully aware that there are still many shortcomings in the management. Even so, the attraction, which is only about a year since opened, will continue to innovate. "Officially, we are only about one year old. But we still plan to innovate.
Later we will build huts and improve the access to make it more comfortable for visitors. In addition, we hope that Black Canyon can continue to help the economy for the surrounding community, " he hoped. (Nov)
