Celebration Of The 448th Anniversary Of Pemalang Regency

Pemalang Regency Anniversary is every January 24th. Written in the Regional Regulation of Pemalang Regency Number 9 of 1996, the Anniversary of Pemalang Regency is set on January 24, 1575 AD. It means that this year Pemalang Regency celebrates its 448th birthday.

With the theme "Unite, Rise Together Towards Pemalang Safe and Sincere", the Government of Pemalang Regency has prepared a series of events from January to February 2023. Quoted from Instagram @disparporapemalang, here are some of the Anniversary activities for Pemalang Regency that you can participate in:

  1. Prince Benowo's Haul on January 22, 2023, at 07.00 a.m., finished at the Prince Benowo Penggarit Tomb Complex. 
  2. Pilgrimage on January 23, 2023, at 09.00 a.m.
  3. Reciting Al Quran on January 23, 2023, at 03.00 p.m., finished at Sasana Bhakti Pemalang.
  4. Wungon on January 23, 2023, from 07.30 p.m. – 10.30 p.m. at the Pemalang Regency Hall, enlivened by keroncong with the MSC Chamber Pemalang.
  5. Pataka and Cultural Carnival on January 24, 2023, from 07.00 – 09.00 a.m. at the Sungpan Village Hall – Regency Hall.
  6. Reciting Sholawat with Az Zahir Pekalongan and Habib Muhammad Farid Al Muthohar Semarang on January 24, 2023, 08.00 p.m. – finished at Pemalang Square.
  7. Pemalang Expo 2023 on January 27-29, 2023, at 02.00 p.m. - finished at Pemalang Square.
  8. Cultural Arts Performance on January 28, 2023, at 08.30 a.m. - finished at the Balai Rakyat DPRD Building.
  9. Fun Bike on January 29, 2023, at 06.00 a.m. - finish. The start & finish take place in front of the Gazebo.
  10. Randudongkal Village Festival on 10 - 12 February 2023 at 08.00 a.m. – finished in Randudongkal District.
  11. Wonge Dewek Village Flagship Festival on 12-14 February 2023 at 10.00 a.m. – 10.00 p.m. in front of the Gazebo – Pemalang Square.
  12. The Regent's Cup of Pigeon Contest on 17-19 February 2023 at Pancaniti Jrakah Taman.
  13. Regent Cup 2023 National Bird Singing Contest on February 19, 2023, at 09.00 a.m. – finished at Widuri Beach.
