Commemorating Batik Day With 6 Interesting Agendas In Bakaran Batik Festival 2022
Pati Regency has a batik masterpiece since14-centuryntury named Bakaran Batik. As mentioned in warisanbudaya.kemdikbud.go.id, Batik Bakaran has a connection with the art collections keeper of the Majapahit Kingdom named Nyi Siti Sabirah (Nyi Danowati). She came to Bakaran Village and taught batik to the locals. The batik has a Majapahit pattern with black, white, brown, and blue colors.
To celebrate World Batik Day, commemorated every October 2nd, 2022, Bakaran Wetan Village, Juwana District, Pati Regency, will hold the 'Bakaran Batik Festival 2022'. This event with six agendas will be worth visiting. Let's see the following event agendas:
1. Batik Festival
Batik Festival is held on Sunday, October 2nd, 2022, in Bakaran Wetan Tourism Village, precisely along Sersan Darmin Street at 6.30 AM.
2. Gongjinagong Culture
Gongjinagong Culture will be held on Sunday, October 9th, 2022.
3. Children's Fashion Show
Children's Fashion Show will be held on Saturday, October 15th, 2022. Registration is closed on October 10th, 2022, and the technical meeting will be on October 13th, 2022. The event has three categories with a total prize of 12 million rupiahs. The terms and conditions of the competition are:
a. Mom and child category: Bakaran Village people, children max. 6 years old, mom and child.
b. Children category: Bakaran Village people, 7-12 years old.
c. Children category (Juwana District): Juwana District people, 13-15 years old.
4. Fashion Show and The Election of Bakaran Batik Ambassador 2022
Fashion Show and The Election of Bakaran Batik Ambassador 2022 will be held on Sunday, October 16th, 2022, at 7 PM. The Election of Batik Ambassador opens for people 16-25 years old.
5. Traditional Art Festival
The traditional Art Festival will be held on Saturday, October 22nd, 2022, at 7 PM. The registration will be closed on October 15th, 2022, and the technical meeting will be on October 18th, 2022.
6. Cultural Carnival
Cultural Carnival will be the closing event for Bakaran Batik Festival 2022. This event will be held on Sunday, October 30th, 2022.
