Cool! The Dieng Culture Festival And Old Town Festival Are In The Top 10 Of KEN 2023

The Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) launched the Karisma Event Nusantara (KEN) 2023 at TMII Jakarta on Saturday afternoon (28/1). On this occasion, 110 events had passed the curation of KEN 2023, 5 of which were events in Jawa Tengah.

The five events are the Dieng Culture Festival, Old Town Festival, Solo Menari, Solo Keroncong Festival, and Moro Borobudur. Moreover, the Dieng Culture Festival and the Kota Lama Festival belong to the TOP 10 KEN. These events have passed three stages of selection by the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy in November-December 2022, from administration, concepts, and interviews. Previously, the Department of Youth, Sports, and Tourism of Jawa Tengah had proposed 10 top events for 2023.

Besides launching KEN 2023, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy also launched 'Sportive 2023', namely Sport, Music, and Creative Events. Quoted from kemenparekraf.go.id, this is because of so many attractive sports events and tourism. The 3 Sportive events from Jawa Tengah are Solo International Performing Arts (SIPA), and Indonesian Umbrella Festival (Fespin) in the Creative category, and Mesastila 100 in the Sports category.
