Enjoy The Natural View From The Top Of Mount Selok

Reaching the top of the mountain is not a goal but a bonus of patience, some mountaineers said. A few words give the hypnotist to remain patient and steadfast in stepping. Everyone who climbs the mountain seems to need something of their version of encouragement. Since it is not an easy thing to walk far with natural conditions that are sometimes beyond prediction--anything can happen.

For those who like to climb mountains, the difficult journey will be passed no matter what. Yet, for those who do not like to climb mountains, just walking for 10 minutes feels heavy and long. Until the desire to enjoy the view from above the height must disappear. Even dreaming about it is exhausting.

Wait a minute, don't bury deep in your desire to enjoy nature from above heights. If you visit Mount Selok, the fatigue of walking up the mountain is not much. Even to enjoy Mount Selok, there is no need for special preparation. The highest peak of Mount Selok is at an altitude of 150 m above sea level. The area is only 236.7 ha.

The location of Mount Selok is in Karangbenda Village, Adipala District. Access to Mount Selok is also very easy. When using your vehicle either motorcycle or car, visitors can go directly to the attractions on Mount Selok. From the parking lot, it is only about 10 minutes.

On top of Mount Selok, a place has been built to take selfies. From that place, we can enjoy the beautiful expanse of rice fields, rows of fir trees, and Sodong Beach which is just south of Mount Selok. In this selfie spot, there are several rides for selfies including selfie decks, hot air balloons, and treehouses.

Mount Selok is also famous for its religious tourism. At the top of the mountain, there is a temple called Padepokan Sang Hyang Jati. This temple is used for Buddhist places of worship. In addition to the temple, on Mount Selok there are also several petilasan or remains of the past, used for meditating. These include Jambe Lima and Jambe Pitu.

The number of holy places and considered sacred make the atmosphere of Mount Selok mystical. Plus, trees grow densely in every corner of the mountain. So, it is expected that visitors who come maintain good manners and the environment. Not only on Mount Selok, but in every place also we should be doing well.

When you have visited Mount Selok, we can go down to enjoy the atmosphere of the beach. The beach named Sodong is overgrown with fir and coconut trees. Between Mount Selok and Sodong Beach, there are expanses of rice fields, swamps, and streams of times. In this place, visitors can enjoy the beauty of nature while fishing, riding a boat, or just sitting enjoying the breeze of the beach.
