Gunung Sewu Geopark Festival Of 2023 Will Be On July
The Gunung Sewu Geopark Festival will be back on July 28-30 2023. In its 5th event, the Gunung Sewu Geopark Festival has the theme "Wewayangane Buana".
Quoted from gunungsewu.wonogirikab.go.id, Gunung Sewu is the most special karst area in Java. The area is in the form of conical hills, consisting of around 40,000 karst hills. The length of this area reaches 85 kilometers with an area of limestone deposits reaching 1,300 square kilometers. The brief history of the Gunungsewu Geopark until it was named the Global Geoparks Network (GGN) in 2015.
The 2023 Gunung Sewu Geopark Festival will be in the Indonesian Kars Museum area in Pracimatoro, Wonogiri Regency. The series of activities includes mass gymnastics. band parades, regional art performances, cycling to explore the Ancient Bengawan Solo River Valley, and a Trail Run. Here is further information.

Gowes Exploring the Ancient Bengawan Solo River Valley will be held on July 30, 2023. Participants will explore the ancient Bengawan Solo River valley which is millions of years old and has beautiful panoramas. Started from the Indonesian Kars Museum Parking Lot to Sumberagung Pracimantoro Market.
The Praci Azana Trail Run is a challenging cross-country run with various tracks and a distance of around 5 km.
