Governor Of Jawa Tengah Supports Dieng Culture Festival 2020 Held Virtually

Dieng Culture Festival 2020 will be held virtually for 2 days on September 16-17. This is a form of maintaining the tradition and culture during the Covid-19 pandemic.

"This concept is suitable with SOP of handling Covid-19," said Alif Faozi, The Chairman of the Committee of Dieng Culture Festival, in a meeting with the Governor of Jawa Tengah, Ganjar Pranowo on Monday (14/9).

Alif explained that this event will be launched on Wednesday (16/9) in the morning with some agendas such as seminars, traditional art performances, and musical performance jazz di atas awan (jazz above the clouds) at night. On the next day, there is a peak event of dreadlocks cut tradition.

The Governor of Jawa Tengah, Ganjar Pranowo, supported the event virtually and hoped that the event will still be attractive even though it is only shown through social media.

"It is nice to be held virtually. People don't have to come to enjoy it," Ganjar Pranowo emphasized.

Dieng Culture Festival is one of the top events in Jawa Tengah and it is included in the Top 100 National Calendar of Events 2020 by the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy. People always wait for this event. It can be seen from the audiences' enthusiasm through their questions, "Where will DCF be held in 2020?". This question makes the committee of DCF more vibrant in performing DCF 2020 virtually.
