Menari Tourism Village With Sustainable Traditions

Menari Village is not a village in the horror story “KKN in Penari Village” but a traditional village that still has a thick culture. The location is on the slopes of Mount Telomoyo which is far from the city center.

To get to this village, you have to pass through Salatiga Ring Line then turn towards Kopeng or Magelang. It takes about 10 minutes or about 9 KM to find a board leading to the Menari Tourism Village.

As the name implies, Menari (can be interpreted as Dancing) Tourism Village offers many packages for your vacation. One of them is an art tour package with prices ranging from IDR 95.000 - 140.000.

You can watch various dances here, starting from Warok Dance, Gemukan Bocah, Ayu Mask, Werok Creation, Kuda Lumping (Leathered Horse), and Palace Soldier Dance or Eko Prawiro Dance.

Most of the local people here are, on average, dominated by traditional dance conservationists. So, it is no wonder that you will see many dance performances here.

Also, you can do other activities such as making plaits, trying out various traditional toys, making fennel chips and milk soap.

Since it is on the slopes of a mountain and away from the hustle-bustle of a crowded-polluting city, it is nice to feel its cool and fresh air with the beautiful nature. It is interesting if you stay to live in a homestay with the local people. You will feel calm and peace mingling with indigenous peoples who are still sustainable in this digital era.

Even though it is quite far, Menari Tourism Village is very well known to foreign countries. Many tourists come to this village to learn dancing and learn about the daily activities of the people.

Various groups also come to learn together in preserving traditional dances in Indonesia, especially in Jawa Tengah. An atmosphere of tolerance that is still well-maintained with its harmonious customs would be very suitable as a family tourist destination.

There are also various natural photo spots with extraordinary Instagramable views.

You can also bring home new knowledge and experiences in the field of art. As for the souvenirs, visitors can buy handmade MSMEs products or fresh vegetables.

It is recommended for you to spend year-end holidays with your family to learn and get new experiences at Menari Tourism Village. Prepare your warm clothes and equipment before coming to this village!
