Ahmad Arfin, manager of Dringo Lake, explained that the name Of Dringo Lake is taken from the name of plants that grow naturally around the lake, namely, dringo plants. This long-leafed plant is found around the lake. In addition to dringo plants, other ecosystems in Dringo Lake are grass carp and whistling duck.

During the dry season, the water discharge in Dringo Lake is reduced so that it appears to recede. During this season, the water in Dringo Lake is used by residents to irrigate potato plants around the hill. However, Dringo Lake never dries because there are several springs.
