Lasem, an area in the east of Rembang Regency, has countless tourist attractions with historical value. Here there are many interesting old buildings to visit. In addition, Lasem also has natural attractions in the form of beaches that spoil the eye, one of which is Caruban Beach.

If exploring Lasem and every corner is draining your energy, then you may relax for a while sipping Lasem's coffee, lelet, at coffee shops that are easy to find here. One of them is the House of Oei. This place is known as a culinary tourism destination in Lasem. The location is strategic, on Jatirogo Street, not far from the Jami Lasem Mosque.

Feel the relaxing sensation of eating delicious dishes while looking at this Chinese-style building. Ornaments typical of the country of bamboo curtains adorn the corners of this building like wooden doors carved with Chinese starch and other knick-knacks.

This building has existed since 1818, pasted with the history of this house on the part of the wall. The owner of this house is Oei Am, born in 1798 in China. When he was 15, he wandered and landed on the coast of Lasem. At the age of 17, he married Lasem's native daughter, named Tjioe Nio, a girl who was excellent at dancing and making batik.

At the front of Rumah Oei is a place to relax with some cuisine. The atmosphere is shady because of the mango trees. When visiting this place, young people seem to be having fun chatting while enjoying their orders.

The terrace of this house is wide, with brown wood with golden Chinese kanji carvings as the entrance. The brown color matches the four windows that flank it.

If the window opens, you can see the inside of this house. There is a table and chairs and a glass cupboard. The walls are decorated with classic photographs, mostly in black and white. At the back, there is also a building for lodging. The architecture is also the same which is designed with a classic feel. (Admin)
