After passing through the rice fields, you require extra energy. The incline is quite sloping and you will pass a-meter-width path. However, the locals already made the ladder-shaped track. Some climbers seem to take a break at the rest area.

Having reached the top, you will be welcomed by dozens of tents. Others may relax in hammocks while enjoying the afternoon air of Mount Wahyu and looking at the view of the hills and the village below.

At night, it got more crowded with climbers. There would be several groups come one by one. Some were making bonfires while watching the night view of the village lights flickering.

As it got late, the climbers still came. "Ah, it's Saturday night," said one of the tourists. The group that had just arrived was walking with a flashlight and looking for a place to set up a tent.

Songs with the instrument of guitar and ketipung (small drum) accompanied our night. People were talking and laughing all night.

One of the attractions of Mount Wahyu is the sunrise. Yet, it was covered with the cloud when we went there.

Dwi Menik Dyah Safitri, one of the tourists, admitted that the view on top of Mount Wahyu is the best. Moreover, the track is also a bit steep. "It's quite challenging. The path is uphill, "she said.

Jupri, a young man from Bitingan village managing the camping area, said that the location used to be lush. Then, the local youth had an idea to make it a camping place.

The locals also rent a tent for IDR 20.000 per night. In addition to that, there is also a service for installing tents. They have ready-to-use tents up there. So, tourists do not have to climb while carrying a tent.
