DEVOTION ROOM OF DIPONEGORO MUSEUM

The seizure of Prince Diponegoro because of the ruse of Dutch colonialists led by General De Kock took place on October 20th 1930 in the official house of Karesidenan Kedu. The room where Prince Diponegoro was seizure has been turned into a museum. The museum is located at Jl. Diponegoro No. 1 Magelang and built in classical European architecture with spacious yard. Some collections found in this museum include a chair with nails' starches that are believed to occur because of Prince Diponegoro's anger toward the colonial, a rob sized 1.57 m x 1.35 m made of shantung garment, 7 cups for 7 different favorite beverages of Prince Diponegoro, balai-balai (small wooden stage) used by Prince Diponegoro to pray, and a Takrib book.
