Mount Sumbing (3371 above sea level) and Mount Sindoro (3151 above sea level) are icons of Temanggung. Dry season becomes favorite time for mount climbers to climb. It only takes 5 to 6 hours from base camp to reach the peak. To reach the peak of Mount Sindoro, visitor may start from Kledung Village, Kledung Sub-District. Although Mount Sumbing is higher, its landscape is more sloping, it makes easier to climb but takes longer time, 9 to 10 hours. Some starting points to climb Mount Sumbing scatter at its slopes, one out of them is in base camp Kacepit Village, Bulu Sub-District.
