PUTRI KENCONO CAVE

Quoted from kec.pracimantoro.wonogirikab.go.id, Putri Kencono Cave is located in the Karst area of Mount Sewu, Wonodadi Village, Pracimantoro District or 45 KM south of Wonogiri City. Putri Kencono Cave presents the beauty of the stalactites and stalagmites inside. According to history, this cave was first discovered in 1991 by a latitude seeker from Wonodadi village. It has a long hallway, approximately 121 meters with a width of about 4 meters and a height of 4 meters. It is divided into 7 rooms, each of which is given a separate name, the Living Room, Cultural Room, Library Room, Jumenengan Room, Workshop Room, Panyuwunan Room, and Family Room. Each part of the cave and even the naming of the cave has its own history or myth for the local community.
