Penjamasan Bende Becak Pusaka Sunan Bonang
Every 10th of Dhu al-Hijjah, the echoes of history come alive in Bonang Village. Sunan Bonang’s heirloom, Bende Becak, is cleansed in a sacred ceremony. Afterwards, villagers enjoy yellow sticky rice with sweet coconut paste and vie for the water and cloth used to wrap the Bende Becak.
