CILACAP SEA ALMS

The sea alms ceremony in Cilacap Regency is held once a year, in the month of Sura (Javanese Calendar) to coincide with Tuesday Kliwon or Friday Kliwon. This Sea alms ceremony is done as a form of gratitude for the good fortune given by God Almighty and asking for safety for the fishermen and their families, so as to get a lot of fish catches.
