DOLALAK DANCE

Dolalak dance is an acculturation dance of Javanese and western (European). At Dutch colonial period, the Dutch soldiers often danced by using his military uniform and accompanied with songs that contain satire in its rhyme. The word Dolalak actually comes from the notation Do La La, which is part of the notation then evolved in the dialect of Java into Dolalak.
