DUGDERAN, THE JOY OF WELCOMING RAMADHAN

Dugderan is one of the traditions in Semarang City lasting for generations. Its name is taken from the sound of the large drum beating "Dug" and cannon fires "Der". It describes the joy of welcoming Ramadhan. Before the pandemic era, Dugderan is held by having parades for two days before the first day of fasting.
