ROLASAN CARNIVAL

The Rolasan Parade is a manifestation of the joy of the people of Tegal City in welcoming the Birthday of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. This parade is initiated by K.H. Mukhlas as a mass-raising effort in the colonial period. At that time the activity was known as the Oncor Parade or Torch held on the night of 12 Robiul Awal (Islamic Calendar). Departing from the residence of K.H. Mukhlas in Panggung, people carry torches and walked along the route on the streets of Tegal City. Over time, the oncor parade has now changed its name to the Rolasan Parade. The parade did not only show the Oncor Parade, but also the appearance of Islamic art.
