SEWU KUPAT TRADITION

This Sewu Kupat tradition is carried out by the people in Colo Village (Mount Muria) on the 7th day after Eid al-Fitr. Each resident representing his family came and brought a bunch of Kupat and Lepet, sitting cross-legged on a mat laid out on the street. Once the procession ends, the collected Kupat and Lepet are carried up to the grave of Sunan Muria which is at the top of a mountain.
