TENONGAN

Tenongan is a typical tradition of community feasting in Pagerejo Village, Kertek District, Wonosobo, which is held every Friday Kliwon 70 days as a form of gratitude to God. In this tradition, each family brings a tenong, a round food container containing traditional dishes such as rice, side dishes, vegetables, and traditional cakes. The tenongs containing Nasi Golong (rice molded into rounds) with its typical side dishes are then paraded to the Sikeramat tomb (a sacred tomb) followed by praying together and the golong rice and side dishes in the tenongs are eaten together.
