Borobudur Marathon 2023 Was Successful, Acting Governor Of Jawa Tengah Is Ready To Welcome Next Year's Event

Borobudur Marathon 2023 Powered by Bank Jateng successfully held in the Borobudur Temple Area, Magelang Regency, Jawa Tengah Province, on Sunday morning (19/11/2023). Around 10,000 runners joined this annual event collaboration with the Jawa Tengah Provincial Government, Bank Jateng, Kompas Daily, and the Borobudur Marathon Foundation.

Participants in the 2023 Borobudur Marathon are not only from public, but also from national and international runners. The splendor of Borobudur Temple, the rural atmosphere of Borobudur, and the excitement of the people who came to support runners give unique experience.

The success of the 2023 Borobudur Marathon can be seen from the number of participants almost the same as before the Covid-19 pandemic. This also has an impact on the community around Borobudur. Lodging accommodation services, both hotels and homestays, are fully booked.

Acting Governor of Jawa Tengah, Nana Sudjana appreciated the success of the 2023 Borobudur Marathon Powered by Bank Jateng. Nana hopes that the Borobudur Marathon event will be even bigger and better next year, that more runners will enlist, and more international runners will know and join in running in Magelang.

"And we, Magelang, are ready to welcome the runners who will come to take part in the Borobudur Marathon," said Nana Sudjana.

Borobudur Marathon is one of the leading sports tourism events in Jawa Tengah. Apart from Bomar, Jawa Tengah has the Tour De Borobudur, Mesastila 100, Siksorogo Lawu Ultra, Telomoyo Cup, and many more. The Jawa Tengah Provincial Government is committed to continuing to develop tourism in Jawa Tengah, one of which is through organizing events.
