Kiskendo Cave, The Amazing Charm Of The Underworld And A Favorite For Nature Lovers

Kiskendo Cave, located in Trayu Village, Singorojo District, Kendal Regency, Jawa Tengah, offers an impressive experience for visiting tourists.

This cave is one of the many caves in Jawa Tengah that provide a mysterious and amazing beauty in the underworld. One thing to note, this cave is a 'must place' for nature lovers who miss the challenge of climbing cliffs.

According to legend,  Kiskendo Cave is taken from a puppet story that tells of a fierce battle between a herd of Sugriwa and Subali monkeys. It is said that this cave was the scene of a battle between the two monkey armies.

Here, visitors don't need to spend a lot of money. Just by paying an entrance ticket of IDR 5,000, tourists can enjoy the beauty of all the natural potential of Kiskendo Cave in a highland area with an unspoiled and beautiful natural environment.

Kiskendo Cave is one of the tourist treasures in Kendal Regency, whose management is under the auspices of Perum Perhutani, Jawa Tengah Regional Division, KPH Kendal. It is about 22 km from Kendal City. To go to Kiskendo Cave, visitors can ride a motorbike or four-wheeled vehicle.

Road access to the location is good, although drivers must be careful with the winding route. If coming from the south, tourists can take the Boja District route. Meanwhile, if you go north, you can take the Kaliwungu District route which is about eight kilometers away.

While in this cave, visitors will find large boulders arranged beautifully in the form of stalagmites and stalactites.
Apart from the main cave, namely Kiskendo Cave, there are also small caves around it such as Lawang Cave, Pertapaan Cave, Talangan Cave, Kempul Cave, and Kampret Cave. 

Educational Place

Singorojo resident Pupung Pamilu Aji Pamungkas (23) when met conveyed the advantages of Kiskendo Cave. According to him, this cave is an ideal place for nature lovers to study, because it includes three divisions, namely mountain forest, caving, and rock climbing.
