Medini Tea Garden

Medini Tea Garden has an area of ​​about 386 hectares and is located at an altitude of 2,050 meters above sea level. The air temperature in this place is very cold, even fog often covers this area during the day.

The Expanse of the Tea Garden 
The scenery at Medini Tea Garden is a wide green expanse and hills of tea plants. If you come in the morning, you will usually pass tea pickers carrying sacks or baskets. Usually, visitors who come to Medini Tea Gardens spend their time strolling around the tea gardens or setting up tents at their campsites.

Some continue their journey to Promasan, the last village to climb Mount Ungaran. The road that is passed will be more steep and rocky, but once using a motorbike or car you can reach the village. In Promasan, visitors can see Mount Ungaran clearly and can visit the Goa Jepang, a historical heritage. It is a cave with rooms that are said to be places of torture during the Japanese colonial era.

Heading to Medini Tea Garden
To reach this place, visitors can come from any direction including Kendal, Semarang City, or Semarang Regency. You only need to drive your vehicle to Limbangan District and follow the road signs to get to the tea garden. After arriving at the checkpoint, visitors are required to fill in the data and pay for the entry ticket. Medini Tea Plantation entrance ticket is only IDR 5,000 per person. It is very cheap considering the amazing view there. If you want to continue the journey to Promasan, you do not need to pay additional fees.

Fun Activities at Medini Tea Garden
There are many things to do at Medini Tea Gardens. Starting from camping, walking around the tea gardens and Promasan Village, bathing in the clean river, or just spending time enjoying the cool air. Tourists can also see firsthand how tea is processed from picking to tea that is ready to be brewed.

Of course, if you want to visit the tea factory, you need permission from the manager so you can get access to the production room. Medini Tea Plantation is also the largest tea-producing area in Jawa Tengah with its tea varieties, namely Assamica and Sinensis. Various processed tea products such as black tea, oolong tea, green tea, and white tea. Not surprisingly, products from the Medini tea garden are used as a mixture of various well-known tea brands in Indonesia side by side with tea from Tambi.
