Semarang Old Town 2023 Will Be In September

The Semarang Old Town 2023 will be back on September 7-17. The theme is Heritage in Harmony which depicts the cultural diversity of Semarang City.

This event aims to preserve the Semarang Old Town as a cultural heritage area. As quoted from Budaya.kemdikbud.go.id, the Semarang Old Town area has been designated as a national-level cultural heritage in 2020 which consists of four sites, namely Kauman Village, Malay Village, Chinatown Village, and Oudestad.

Not only for the preservation of cultural heritage, the Old Town Festival also aims to stimulate tourism on a national and international scale, as well as a place for creativity for creative people and activists of history and arts, and culture.

Various interesting activities will be presented during the 11 days, such as Nostalgia Market Sentiling Culinary, MSME's products Expo, Nusantara Folklore Festival, etc.
