Song Waterfall, A Natural Song On The Slope Of Mount Slamet

Going on a vacation in Banyumas Regency means visiting waterfalls or the locals call it curug. The geographical location of Banyumas Regency which is on the slopes of Mount Slamet makes waterfall commonly found in Banyumas Regency. Even to the edge of Banyumas Regency and far from Mount Slamet, we can find waterfalls.

As Song Waterfall or Curug Song, which is located in the southern part of Banyumas Regency precisely in Kalisalak Village, Kebasen District. Since it is not on the slopes of a mountain, accessibility to Song Waterfall is fairly easy. Just passing a typical rural road with a wide expanse of rice fields. It does not go through the uphill and downhill road on the edge of the ravine.

There is no public transportation that reaches Song Waterfall. So, you can go there by motorbike or car. From the Kebasen intersection, you just need to follow the directions. The entrance ticket is IDR 10,000 per person and you can enjoy the cool air of the pine forest that surrounds Song Waterfall and the fresh water flowing along the area. Song Waterfall is a 40-meter-height waterfall with a basin in the water flow.

What can we do at Song Waterfall?

From the entrance to the waterfall, we have to walk for about 20 minutes. And along the way, there are several rides that we can try and natural scenery that we can enjoy. The ticket for rides is IDR 10,000 per person. The rides are 

Hanging bicycles, there are 2 bicycles in a row that 1 person can ride each bicycle. Located at a height of approximately 3 meters, you can take selfies after the bicycle is pulled into the middle.
Flying fox, you can feel the sensation of descending from the top of the hill on a rope for approximately 100 meters.
ATV, you can walk along the track between the pine trees with it.
Trampoline, a vehicle that children like, can be tried for you who come with children.
In addition, there are some free games such as swings, hammocks, suspension bridges, rabbit palaces, and several selfie decks with various shapes scattered around. Not far from the waterfall area, there is also another waterfall, namely Dipacandra Waterfall or Curug Dipacandra.

There is another sensation when we come in the afternoon or evening since there are many decorative lights on selfie decks, bridges, and roads in the waterfall area. Don't worry, Song Waterfall is safe to visit at night. There is an officer who stays until the night. The opening hours are from 07.00 to 22.00.

For those who want to camp, a camping ground is also provided. You can rent a tent with a capacity of 4 people by spending IDR 60,000 per tent or you are allowed to bring your tent for free with no charge. Even though it is open until 22.00, Song Waterfall still has officers on guard until the morning if someone is camping.
