The Limited Visitors At Sikidang Crater Due To The Ied Holiday

Holidays are the right moment to spend time with family for those who are not going home during Eid. During the pandemic, tourists must continue to comply with health protocol standards to prevent the transmission of Covid-19 and comply with the provisions that apply at tourist attractions, such as the application of the open and close model entering the Sikidang Crater area. If the parking area is full, it will be temporarily closed and tourists are allowed to visit the Dieng zone, two tourist attractions that are no less unique with interesting stories or legends.

Head of the Department of Tourism and Culture of Banjarnegara Regency, Drs. Agung Yusianto, M.Si, said during this pandemic the number of tourist vehicles entering Sikidang Crater was limited to prevent crowds of tourists. “The opening and closing are carried out by officers at the T-junction of the Bima Temple complex. Tourists are patient and we allow them to enjoy zone two attractions before returning to visit Sikidang Crater," he said.

This was emphasized by the Head of UPT Dieng Banjarnegara, Tri Utami, that this is an opportunity for tourists to enjoy the uniqueness of other tourist attractions in the Dieng Banjarnegara Tourism Area, especially Dieng zone two, namely Candradimuka Crater, Jalatunda Well, Merdada Lake, Sewiwi Lake, and Dringo Lake, which the distance is not far away from one tourist attractions to others," he said.

Dieng as a leading tourist destination in Jawa Tengah has many tourist attractions. Administratively, part of the Dieng area is in Banjarnegara Regency. Some of the tourism potentials in Dieng include temple sites, Sikidang Crater, Candradimuka Crater, Merdada Lake, Dringo Lake, Sewiwi Lake, Jalatunda Well, and Kailasa Museum which stores ancient Hindu temple artifacts complete with a cinema of the temple making process.
