It is a village where most of the villagers are Batik craftsmen, especially at Kemplong village, Wiradesa. Other villages known with batik products are Buaran, Kedungwuni, Wonopringgo, and Bojong. Pekalongan regency is a centre and the pioneer of the existence of batik Pekalongan. Now their products are easily bought in market, and the souvenir shops around the town.
