There are beaches stretching from the west to the east. There are beaches along 57.8 kilometers in the south of Kebumen. No wonder, beaches in Kebumen have various charms. One with pinery, karst cliffs, coral reefs, or white sand.

At least, these 5 beaches in Kebumen are highly recommended to visit. Set your date and make your vacation be fun. Indeed, the view will spoil your eyes.

Pedalen Beach

Pedalen Beach is located in Argopeni Village, Ayah District. Its location is not so far away from Ayah Beach, only 1.5 kilometers away or 4 minutes drive by motorcycle.

Pedalen Beach is often mentioned as a fisher beach because the main attraction in Pedalen Beach is the pretty fishers' boats at the shore. There is also a fish auction there so visitors can directly buy fresh fish.

The character of Pedalen Beach is dominated by gravel and stones. It is hard to see sand there. Another unique thing is that visitors can see coral reefs from the group of karst aged of hundred years.

Plus, there is a Moon Observation Post (POB) in Pedalen Beach that is used to observe the crescent moon for determining the beginning of Ramadhan and Hijri New Year. There is another spot such as a view post above the POB building. Visitors can take pictures there with the background of a beach or sunset or sunrise.

Karang Agung Beach

Near Pedalen Beach, there is Karang Agung Beach in the same village. The distance between Pedalen Beach and Karang Ayu Beach is 2.8 kilometers of 9 minutes drive by motorcycle.

Although the location is near, the character of these two beaches is so different from one another. Not so like Pedalen Beach which has no sand, but Karang Ayu Beach does have one. So, visitors can play with the sand there.

The iconic thing in Karang Ayu Beach is the big coral reef in the middle of the beach. Around the big coral reef, there are stones spreading to the edges of the beach. It is why visitors often call this beach Tanah Lot of Kebumen since the nuance looks like Tanah Lot Beach in Bali.

The location of Karang Ayu Beach is hidden enough. To reach this beach, visitors must walk 1.2 kilometers from the entrance gate and pass through the teak forest.

Menganti Beach

Another must-visit beach in Kebumen is Menganti Beach. The location is in Karangduwur Beach, Ayah District, or 11 kilometers from Ayah Beach. It takes around 30 minutes by motorcycle.

Menganti Beach became a popular tourist attraction several years ago since this beach offers many spots to explore.

There are two spots; in the west area and the east area. The west area is the fisher beach so visitors can see the line of boats at the shore and play with water and sand. There are stalls and toilets in this area. Since the beach location is in the middle of hills, visitors can enjoy the scenery of green hills around.

Meanwhile, in the east area, visitors can see Menganti Beach from a height because it is located on a cliff. This area is often mentioned as Gazebo Hill since there are gazebos spreading at some points. This facility can be used as a rest area for visitors while enjoying the sea view.

Pecaron Beach

From Menganti Beach, visitors can visit Pecaron Beach in Srati Village, Ayah District. The location of Pecaron Beach is beside Menganti Beach. However, it takes around 18 minutes to go there.

Well, although the beach is next to each other, the feature is not the same. Pecaron Beach is dominated by a wide black sand area with some stones. Along Pecaron Beach, there are coconut trees.

Different from the previous beaches, the accessibility to Pecaron Beach is not too uphill. Even the visitors can directly see the beach from their vehicles. No need to walk so far away from the parking lot.

Pecaron Beach is still natural and beautiful. This beach offers a view of the wide beach with a green cliff and hill area. So fresh!

Lampon Beach

At last, there is Lampon Beach in Pasir Village, Ayah District. From Pecaron Beach, it takes around 19 minutes to the east to reach Lampon Beach.

Lampon Beach is often called a hidden pearl in Kebumen. To reach Lampon Beach, visitors must pass through the steep uphill but it will be worth it trip after seeing the beauty of Lampon Beach.
