Exploring The Exotic Sigebyar Lake Pekalongan Shrouded In Fog

Petungkriyono District, Pekalongan Regency has numerous tourist attractions starting from waterfalls, hills, and many more. It makes Petungkriyono be called The Heaven of Pekalongan Regency. One of its famous tourist attractions is Sigebyar Lake or to be known as Mangunan Lake.

It is located in Tlogohendro Village on the north slope of Dieng Plateau. The trip to the lake will take about 40 - 60 minutes from Kajen City Square. During the trip, you will see the agricultural field such as carrots, potatoes, and other commodities. The typical fruit, Carica, also fertilely grows around the lake.

Only with IDR 5.000, you can feel the cold sensation of Dieng Plateau while enjoying the greenish-brown lake with the fresh air. Moreover, the atmosphere becomes exotic when the fog goes down. Its greenish gradation of fog and panorama is extremely beautiful. When visiting this lake, you should wear a coat or warm clothes especially for those riding a motorcycle.

It is not complete if you do not take selfies here. There are many selfie spots around the lake. You take photos in the garden, floating bridge, etc.

When the fog goes down, it is nice to enjoy the view while eating local snacks. Tempe mendoan would be a great choice. You can also drink a cup of coffee or tea at an affordable price.

If you want to try something new, you can explore the lake with a boat. You can enjoy the beauty of the lake for 10 minutes. The ticket price is IDR 5.000 per person.

After visiting Mangunan Lake, you can stop by Warung Bu Siti to have lunch. It offers various menus such as tuna, chicken, duck, wader fish, and many more. If you are lucky, you can order red rice, black rice, and corn rice. The price is so affordable with the buffet system.
