Walking The Red Bridge In The Mangrove Forest, Banggi Rembang Market

Known as the city of Salt, Rembang has diverse natural tourism potential. The beautiful beaches stretch along the Pantura road with their own characteristics. A seemingly endless stretch of powder-white perfection in Wates, Kaliori, and a row of pine trees on the Karang Jahe beach. In Pasar Banggi village, Rembang sub-district, there is also a beach with an alluring Mangrove Forest known for its red bridge icon. Before the Covid-19 pandemic, Mangrove Forest was such a bustling destination. The parking area was full of vehicles. As well as merchant and food stalls lined up around the area.

Entering the destination, you will find a red-colored wooden bridge. Around the bridge, the Mangrove Forest looks very lush. Those are huge mangrove trees that formed a tunnel.  Feels breezy and relaxing.

At some spots, a kind of viewing post is provided. So that tourists can go up and enjoy the surrounding natural panorama. Walking along the red bridge, you will finally reach the beach.  The area is also sheltered with mangroves. The size is relatively smaller compared to the ones at the red bridge. Some time ago, mangrove seeds were planted in this location.  Now, it turns into big ones. Blue colored coastline perfectly matches with the green of mangrove trees. It does look fierce. As if not shaken by the wind from the ocean.

When the sea recedes, tourists can freely frolicking. You can see small crabs move nimbly from one hole to another. How fun. There is also a stall made of a boat. It fits perfectly for those who want to recharge and enjoy the beach atmosphere kinda thang.

Sadly, this destination is temporarily being closed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The parking area is quiet. With no single vehicle. As well as the merchant and food stalls in the entrance area, all closed. There are only a few locals. Access to the entrance gate is also closed by a wooden fence. Even though the visitors were only a few for several months, the red bridge is still in good and clean condition. The manager is always taking care of Mangrove Forest. The logs of the bridge are always controlled. Even before last Eid, the manager added a bridge to the shoreline area. So, the current appearance is not just a straight bridge. Now there is a T-junction also. Mangrove trees are still growing densely forming a tunnel. All are still maintained until later it is time to reopen the destination.

In the past, several decades ago, local residents said that abrasion oftenly happened. So that residents try to protect the coastal area by planting mangroves. Now not only in this destination area that is overgrown with mangroves. But it has stretched to the surroundings. The mangroves are also big. Looks solid and sturdy.  (Vachri)
