Topographically, Purworejo Regency, which is also called Tanah Bagelen, has wet tropical climate with temperature 19oC – 28oC. After Javanese war, Tanah Bagelen turned into Karesidenan Bagelen with Purworejo as capital city, a new city as a merger of 2 old cities, Kedungkebo and Brengkelan.
