Demak lies in a strategic location. It is about 25 km away on the east Semarang. There is a main national way, pantura, connected Jakarta-Semarang-Surabaya that pass through Demak regency. Demak is in a low land area, about 0-100m above sea level. Since Demak is in the north part of Java it also has 34,1 km sea line.
